So ha ha, water everywhere until turned showerhead and put extra towel down. Saw the review about shower only afterwards. Staff were excellent and accomodating to us newbies, room was comfy, amenities good. Next time we will do pool time, spa time and get into some of our favorite spots in area like Los Olivios. That being said, it really did not get too bad until the numbers (wow) of people picked up after dinner time. Yay! So we knew the casino was smokers paradise like Vegas and Reno.
We asked casino staff to orient us and given a mini tour of casino and got our player cards and free plays. Played the 'high rollers' for a night! We have heard about the Friday nite concerts and gambling weekend parties, etc but we focused on a quiet Tuesday, one night trip. So we're ok with valet parking, luggage handling etc. We are not gamblers but were looking for a different experience in a familiar area, so Chumash Casino! We came in with no expectations, actually looking forward to being taken care of by hotel.
